Rth2310b Install Manual

SIGGRAPH 2009. Day 4.

Es el cuarto día here at the conference, and although there were some very interesting talks, I used to go to a mall that is removed from the city to do some shopping, but I made sure to return at 5pm and that at that time began the event users Vray Chaos Group organized in a hotel opposite the Convention Centre.

officially presented VRay for Maya and demonstrations were very good shading and lighting within the program, and also showed the new Vray RT for 3DSMAX and is incredibly fast to show real-time lighting and materials in the scene as it objects are added and new lights. One drawback is that it is not yet possible to show movement and proxies, but they promise to have it ready very soon, so for now we have to wait for these two characteristics.

To end the show, showed that they are developing an application that implements the new standard for graphics programming OpenCL 1.0 for rendering using the GPU and not the CPU, as this emerging technology is extremely powerful and dramatically reduces render times of images.

For demonstration of this technology, they decided to use a GeForce GTX 285, which is not a professional nor is it very expensive, yet this card Rendering an image 20 times faster than a intel xeon with 8 cores and logical 8 physical cores, ie almost 16 cores! Renderings could be seen almost in real time, the delay was about 1 or 2 seconds before you have a decent picture!

the end we had a few beers and some snacks and conversation among those attending the event and taking photos of the creators of this excellent rendering engine.

Here is the video of the party that presented VRay RT CUDA (although he uses OpenCL, not CUDA) in the GPU and you tell me if it's worth DEVELOP technology: D

Greetings friends!
