Home insurance against theft and damage: Is it haram?
Yes, this type of home insurance or property insurance is unlawful (haram) and should be avoided. All prevalent types of insurance are illegal because they have an element of any of Riba, chance or both, as explained in detail in many previous posts. Search the archives on this site.
