While parents and guardians of students of an educational establishment can be very different from each other, are united by a concern for the welfare of their children. This shared desire is what explains the existence of organizations Centres Parents and Guardians of Chile and define their objectives.

For the school to give them meaningful learning that needs to have an education that includes the values, practices, interests and needs of everyday life of students. And no doubt the same parents are best placed to make this bridge between educational content and the daily experience living children.
As civil society organization, which is a public building space, contributes to the development of their own localities. Thus, the Parent Center is an entity that guarantees the right to participate in a democratic society, in which the actors ensure the quality of educational services.
